The Evolution of a Blackberry Pie

Every summer, when the blackberries are ripe, I make my dad a gluten-free, dairy-free, fresh black berry pie.

That's what he asked me for for Father's Day, but we didn't have the right ingrediants. I finally got around to it last weekend.

On its way to feeling like "coarse meal."

Top crust and bottom crust in a primordial state.

My father was pleased.

Did I mention it was gluten and dairy free? I've got Skillz!

  3. It is beautiful! :D And yes, you do have skillz. I'll always remember how when I was chewing skeptically on a piece of gluten-free bread, you gave it a quick glance and said, "Too much xanthum gum."

  7. I'm jealous. So jealous. Pie is the one thing that I haven't tried to bake yet, despite the fact that it's my favorite dessert. The crust making process scares me.
