Spring is Coming

We're still alive!  We have not fallen irretrievably into our respective fantasy worlds or been buried under our school books--we're merely on Spring Break!

Or at least, Tyler-Rose is.  I'm not sure that I am....

This is not actually my driveway, but it is basically what my driveway looked like two days ago.  But the snow is melting finally, and the flowers are coming up.

Spring is coming. ;)

And--what the heck, let's do the metaphor--spring is coming in my writing life, too.  I'm finally getting to a stage in my revisions where I feel like I'm doing things right.  I think I'm going to meet my goals.  I think I'm going to finish this thing.  I'm soon going to be actually polishing.  I know why I'm writing what I'm writing, and I'm enjoying it.

The ice does melt.  The night does end.  The flowers do, eventually, bloom.

So...we may be taking a bit of a blogging break, but Save-a-Word Saturday is still happening tomorrow!  Join us if you love old, unusual words!

Neither have we forgotten about the post we promised to do in response to meeting the author of "Darkness too Visible".  All in good time.

AND we have a giveaway winner and Mystery Prizes to reveal!!  So much to look forward to!

  1. What beautiful flowers! I can sympathise - actually I recently wrote a blog post with the exact same title and metaphor! We still have a few feet of snow but good things in the forecast :)

  2. Yay for the revisions breakthrough! I might just reach my goal of finishing a first draft by the end of March, and then I'm on to the revision stage. Can't wait! (No, really. :D)

  4. Yeah, in pretty much every way, spring came later than I thought it would....
